Known limitations of the pre-release

AnnexCREATE is a pre-release (beta). This page lists the points where it differs from a finished version and that you should know before you start using it. The beta is free and provided without warranty.

What does not work, or only partly, today

• AnnexPublish: When you open QuarkXPress files (.qxp), we cannot read the page count from the document. Check the pages after the import.
• AnnexPublish: For QuarkXPress files (.qxp) we cannot read the position and size of frames. Text and images arrive, but you have to check where they sit on the page. A PDF of the file next to it helps with the comparison.
• AnnexPublish: We open IDML files (the InDesign interchange format), but we have not yet confirmed on real documents in the running app that every layout matches the original. Compare important pages with the original.
• AnnexPublish: We read INDD files only with limits and have not yet confirmed them in the running app. If the result matters to you, export an IDML or PDF from the original.
• AnnexPublish: For Affinity Publisher files (.afpub) it is not yet confirmed in the running app that the document structure is imported and not just a preview. Check imported files page by page.

This list is generated from our task register with every version. What is fixed disappears here, what we newly find is added. Further errors are possible; report them through support.
